They grew even more famous when they toured with Juz tha King, Kat Nu and Demo Dil on the tour called King Me. Their full-length debut album, Thug Walkin’, came out later that year.Immediately after discovering fellow Atlanta hip hop artist Lil Jon, A&R Bryan Leach began talks with representative Michael ‘DJ Smurf’ Crooms about signing the Ying Yang Twins to TVT Records. Protracted negotiations meant that a deal was not finalized in time for the label to release their next album, Alley: The Return of the Ying Yang Twins, which instead appeared in 2002 on Koch. The album was successful among hip-hop fans in the southern United States. The same year, the group appeared on the double platinum selling album Kings of Crunk by Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz on the single “Get Low”, and the song was a huge club and radio hit. As Crooms had negotiated only a one-album deal with Koch, the duo was free to finally submit to the advances of TVT, who had impressed them with their recent work with Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz.TwistaGrammy nominated multi platinum Recording artist Twista made his recording debut on “Po Pimp,” a platinum single by his fellow Windy City rappers Do or Die. Following “Po Pimp,” Twista signed with Big Beat/Atlantic and released his debut, Adrenaline Rush.Mobstability followed a year later, and in 1999 Twista returned with Legit Ballin’. In fall 2002, he hooked up with Ludacris, Jay-Z, Bone Thugs-NHarmony, and others for the recording of his third albumPaul WallPaul Wall has been one of the pillars of Texas mixtape community since 1999, with his talents earning him a major deal with Swishahouse Records’ 2004 joint venture with Atlantic Records. And in 2007, he received a GRAMMY Nomination for Best Rap Performance as a Duo or Group for his feature on the song GRILLZ with Nelly and Jermaine Dupri. An Evening with Big Head Todd and The Monsters
Big Head Todd and The Monsters have persisted as a rare force of nature in rock ‘n’ roll. The platinum-selling Colorado quartet—Todd Park Mohr [vocals, guitar, keys, sax, harmonica], Brian Nevin [drums], Rob Squires [bass, vocals], and Jeremy Lawton [keyboards, lap pedal/steel guitar, vocals]—have consistently churned out undeniable and often uplifting anthems fueled by a hybrid of no-nonsense hard rock, simmering soul, dyed-in-the-wool blues, and a twist of country. Akin to your favorite classic automobile, their influence and imprint only widen over time, selling out even bigger venues and enrapturing new eras of fans with every passing year. These cats have always paved their own lane. Todd, Brian, and Rob started playing music together while still in high school during the early eighties. Becoming Big Head Todd and The Monsters during 1986, that lane has twisted and turned just as much as Highway 66. Following a quiet D.I.Y. rise, the group shook the mainstream with 1993’s now-classic platinum-certified Sister Sweetly. In its wake, Robert Plant tapped the band to open his Fate of Nations Tour. Following Strategem [1994], they unveiled Beautiful World [1997] highlighted by a cover of “Boom Boom” [feat. John Lee Hooker]—which notably became the theme song for NCIS: New Orleans. They welcomed Jeremy to the fold in 2001. After penning “Blue Sky” at the urging of friends connected to NASA, they notably performed the song live from Mission Control as an interplanetary wakeup call for astronauts on the shuttle. Along the way, the guys joined B.B. King for a “Crossroads” session and toured with blues heroes a la Hubert Sumlin and David “Honeyboy” Edwards. They have headlined Red Rocks Amphitheatre a staggering 35 times. Recognizing “38 years of continuous musical service to fans,” the Colorado Music Hall of Fame inducted the quartet as part of its “Class of 2023.” Now, they’ve crafted the perfect soundtrack to this journey in the form of their 12th full-length offering, Her Way Out.____________________________________________________________If you or a member of your party require ADA seating, please call us at 417-863-9491 to reserve your seats. MOJO – A Tribute to Sinatra & Basie: Live At The Sands featuring vocalist Jake Simpson
MOJO – A Tribute to Sinatra & Basie: Live At The Sands featuring vocalist Jake Simpson Frank Sinatra was at the peak of his talent in 1966 when he joined forces with Count Basie and his orchestra at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas to record an evening that yielded a number of signature arrangements. The Missouri Jazz Orchestra (MOJO) returns to the stage of the historic Gillioz with those musical arrangements in hand to recreate that evening, but they aren’t coming alone. MOJO is bringing featured vocalist Jake Simpson for the evening. Simpson twice (2003 and 2004) won the top honors in the Adult Singer category on CBS’s Star Search with his powerful high tenor voice and three-octave range. Growing up in Crocker, Missouri, making music has been one of the most important driving forces in Jake’s life. His sound has been influenced by Stevie Wonder, Steve Perry, Donny Hathaway and the classic style of Sam Cooke. Jake has recorded, written and performed with a multitude of artists including Grammy Award-winning songwriter Desmond Child, American Idol finalists David Archuleta, Syesha Mercado and Grammy Award-nominee Adam Lambert, NBC’s The Voice finalist Frenchie Davis, Vintage Trouble’s Ty Taylor, pianist Jim Brickman (national tour), Shoshana Bean, Matt Cusson, Grammy Award-nominee Taylor Dayne, Grammy Award-winner Paula Cole and most famously on The Oprah Winfrey Show with the legendary Stevie Wonder. Ben Folds: Paper Airplane Request Tour
Ben Folds w/ special guest Lindsey Kraft Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation. The Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter-composer has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. For the past three decades, he’s toured as a pop artist, while also performing with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras. A New York Times Best Selling author and podcast host, Ben also composes for film, tv and theatre, guest stars in films and TV, and serves as the Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. A longtime advocate for arts and music education funding, Ben launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that provide free or affordable music lessons to interested school-age children. On the national level, he’s active as a member of Americans For The Arts and the Arts Action Fund. Lindsey Kraft is a multi-faceted artist – actress, singer, and composer. You may recognize her from various TV roles including Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, HBO’s Getting On and most recently Netflix’s Obliterated. She continues as the opening act for Ben Folds, where she’ll be performing her brand of theatrical pop songs including songs from her musical, “love, me,” a one-woman show workshopped recently in LA for a LIVE album. During an opening performance for Ben at the Kennedy Center in 2023, she received a glowing review by DC Music Review which wrote that the audience “was treated and transfixed by the performance of Lindsey Kraft. Within the first few moments of her piece, concertgoers realized how perfect the pairing was. A burgeoning newcomer to musical performances, Kraft, in addition to her brilliant piano playing and songs, masterfully interacted with and entertained the audience with her witty and sincere songs.” She characterizes her songs as deeply personal, funny, and sad, her sound inspired by Carly Simon, Carole King, Billy Joel, Bette Midler, Randy Newman, and Broadway (but like, only the good shows)._____________________________________________________________________________________ If you or a member of your party require ADA seating, please call us at 417-863-9491 to reserve your seats. Killer Queen – A Tribute To Queen Featuring Patrick Myers as Freddie Mercury
Killer Queen’s first public shows were at London University, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there decades earlier. Killer Queen’s UK popularity grew to such an extent they soon secured a residency in London’sStrand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage – the first tribute to have a show in the West End. The band’s reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad leading to an awards ceremony in Leicester Square, hosted by Suggs from Madness who presented them with the award for“Worldwide Best Tribute Band”. They also scored a number one hit when they were asked to recreate Queen’s harmonies for “The Real Life” with Fatboy Slim. By now they were in demand in European arenas playing Ahoy and Forest National Arena where Queen filmed the concert set piece videos such as Hammer To Fall and Don’t Stop Me Now. Killer Queen then joined forces with Bjorn Again and The Bootleg Beatles for a Waverley Stadium show in Edinburgh. It was this performance that led to the band being selected to represent Queen in a re-staged tribute LiveAid concert held by Sir Bob Geldof in Malta. They performed with him at his arena charity concert to raise funds for the young homeless people. Killer Queen set their sights on America including the awe inspiring Red Rocks Arena in Colorado– one of the countries most prestigious venues. The Beatles, Springsteen, U2 have all played there and the band are delighted it’s become a regular sell out fixture on Killer Queen’s tour sheet. 2023 saw the band play packed arenas across Europe : Stavangar in Norway and Cardiff, Nottingham, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Leeds in the UK. 2024 includes an arena tour of Lithuania, UK arena shows in Liverpool, Newcastle and Liverpool as well as more sell out shows in Red Rocks and Austin City Limits________________________________________________________________If you or a member of your party require ADA seating, please call us at 417-863-9491 to reserve your seats. FROM ASHES TO NEW: BLACKOUT TOUR PT. 2 w/ Point North, Ekoh, Phix, and Elijah
ABOUT FROM ASHES TO NEW In a small town, you either die where you came from or dream your way out. From Ashes To New understand this choice. As such, the Lancaster, PA band—Matt Brandyberry [rap vocals, keys, synths, programming, guitar], Danny Case [clean & unclean vocals], Lance Dowdle [lead guitar], and Mat Madiro [drums]—churn out an anthemic hybrid of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic, and alternative with enough energy to inspire you to get up, move forward, and maybe even, make a change. Since 2013, the group have risen from humble beginnings to the top of the 21st century rock vanguard with hundreds of millions of streams, sold out shows across the country, and acclaim from LoudWire, Alternative Press, and more. “Growing up in Elizabethtown, PA felt hopeless in a way,” admits Matt. “You go to college and become part of corporate America, or you’re just “trash”. For the longest time, I fell into the latter category according to other people. My mentality was, ‘Who are these people to fucking tell me what I’m going to do with my life?’ They don’t make my decisions; I make decisions for myself. It took a lot of ups and downs, but it’s paying off. I owe it to the small town blue-collar mentality that made me work harder. Danny grew up in Rochester, but his story is the same. We were the loners picked last. Everyone underestimated us. We fought through it for all of our lives, and we’re going to be picked first now.” During 2021, the musicians holed up in Lancaster with longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak to create their upcoming album. This time around, the band made a conscious decision to ignore outside influences and focus on what makes them From Ashes To New. “We got back to the days of creating music to simply create,” adds Matt. “We ended up making the most genuine piece of art we could. At the same time, we applied everything we’ve learned as musicians, producers, and writers. We knew we were capable of doing everything bigger and better.”_________________________________________________________________________If you or a member of your party require ADA seating, please call us at 417-863-9491 to reserve your seats.
